Lorrie Ann Scott was born and raised in the Niagara Region of Canada.  She still lives there today in a century home which contains her art studio.  She majored in art history at York University and has been inspired by the work of Edward Hopper, David Park, Joan Eardley and Katherine Bradford. Basically, self-taught, she has honed her craft through reading, observation, online courses and workshops.   Lorrie was finally free to pursue her artistic ambition following semi-retirement in 2015. Lorrie is inspired by her imagination and memories. She uses both acrylic and oil to create her paintings of everyday life.
